Marshall County Needline Back To School Supply List

With prices rising for fuel, groceries & utility bills it is harder to made ends meet.  Because of this, Needline is anticipating a large increase of participation in their school supply program this year.  With that said, Needline is again asking for donations to allow each child to start the school year with all supplies they need.  Below is a list of requested items and they ask that items be delivered by July 25th.  You can drop your supplies off at church and they will be delivered for you by this date.

“August Showers?”

Not that kind of showers!

Everyone is welcome to a baby shower for Jeannie Mitchell on Saturday, August 9th from 4:00-6:00 at the KY  National Guard Armory in Benton.  Items for little Mr. Brandon Scott Mitchell are on the registry at Wal-Mart.

Come enjoy the afternoon!

Blood Drive

Next Blood Drive will be August 11 from 2:00-7:00 in the CAB.

A Demonstration Of Service

Authority is sometimes well demonstrated by service.  A person with real authority does not dominate others to demonstrate power.  That power flows from a serving, caring role.  The posture of a servant leader does not threaten true authority.

Our discipleship is well demonstrated by acts of giving.

What we give is what was first entrusted to us.  Releasing it in service to others only enhances its value.

Summer Reading

Need some entertainment on these hot summer days?

Let’s share our books!

If you have a book or two you have finished and thing somebody else might enjoy them, bring them to the Fellowship Hall.  There will be a “book swap” during the month of July.

There will be a table with boxes labeled:

Youth, Inspirational, Fiction

Non-Fiction, Magazines

You might want to put your name on the inside to insure they get returned correctly at the end of the month.

Questions?  Suggestions?  See Elaine Hyde

Dear Church Members

On behalf of the homeowners, volunteers, and the board of directors of Marshall County Habitat for Humanity, I want to thank you for your recent donation of $250.00. Your continued dedication to Marshall County Habitat is exceptional and truly appreciated.

Without the unselfish gifts of land, money, materials, and personal time by the caring people of Marshall County, there is no way we could ever have accomplished this much.  Please know we will be good stewards of your gift and will use it in the best possible way to continue our housing ministry.

Robert Strow, President

Marshall Co. Habitat for Humanity
